Damiana Liqueur is a magical formula that I always have in my home! I like taking damiana before bed, however under great periods of stress and/or depressed days, it is great to take in the daytime. Damiana helps us to get back into our bodies to connect with our feelings and senses. Damiana helps to ease stress so we can feel joy. It is a restorative herb that can help to restore exhausted nerves, dreams and spirit. It has a reputation for being an aphrodisiac herb and yes, it can work for that if the situation is that you are so stressed out you can’t relax enough to get into it. Great for the people who find themselves stuck in their minds, or their to-do lists. It also stimulates and promotes dream recall and can promote colorful dreams.
Body Balm a restorative and invigorating mix of luxurious oils and butter for the skin. Rosemary infused in coconut oil and essential oils of cardamom, cinnamon and vanilla. Rosemary is a powerful herb that is often used in cooking, and boosts many benefits to a person. It helps with memory, tons the nervous system and helps with circulation. It also strengthens the heart which is why it’s good for circulation.
Healing Mouthwash is a combination of myrrh, goldenseal and calendula, mixed with some booze and a bit of peppermint essential oil. Calendula is anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal, it also promotes wound healing. Goldenseal is a very strong herb that helps sore mouths and gums. It is a recognized as a natural antibiotic and is used for lots of other issues taken both internally and used externally on infections and eczema. Myrrh tincture is used in the mouth as a wash for sore throats, gingivitis and other infections of the mouth. You might be used to using mouthwash as a breath freshener, this formula takes fresh breath to the next level. By using this mouthwash, you can actually heal your gums and prevent cavities.
Chai Tea a winter blend of soothing digestive tract herbs like marshmallow, fennel, mint and licorice, mixed with warming chai spices like ginger, star anise and cinnamon. This is a decaf version of chai, if you prefer the caffeine just throw in a tea bag or two. I used Rooibos as the main herb in this blend. ‘Rooibos contains antioxidants with anti-inflammatory properties that help to reduce feelings of aches and pains. The anti-spasmodic compounds in rooibos tea help to alleviate abdominal pain by activating potassium ions throughout the body. Rooibos tea is also high in vitamin C, which works to repair collagen and connective tissue in the joints.’ Marshmallow is great for treating sore throats, digestive issues and bronchial inflammation. I thought it was a good time to keep that part of your bodies strong, as lots of people seem to be having a sore throat or bad cough lately. Licorice helps to balance hormones, and is also an amazing herb for the digestive tract and soothing for sore throats. I like how it adds some sweetness to the blend. Brew some of this tea up and add your favorite milk.
